About Us

Since 1922, Tingewick Pottery has provided a unique opportunity for designers to select lamps to go out in colours and shapes of their choosing.  Our lamp shapes are timeless, complimenting both classic and modern interiors.  We work closely with interior designers and other design professionals in order to produce exactly the right lamp for any project.

Our craftsmen are uniquely skilled at working with glazes to provide a distinctive richness and depth of colour.  These qualities are much in demand from interior designers working on prestige hotel and residential projects across the world.

The company was established by sculptor and portrait painter Phyllis Keyes, an active member of the Bloomsbury Group.  The V&A acquired many examples of Phyllis’s work for its ceramic collection.  Phyllis was a great friend of Sibyl Colefax of Colefax and Fowler, who first commissioned her to produce lamps, thus providing the inspiration for Tingewick Pottery to develop its unique range of lamps and colours.

In 2007, the Tingewick Pottery workshop moved to new and larger premises, where we continue to produce our distinctive range of lamps and accessories.
